I broke my own record this time. The previous time, was in Tekong. I remembered I went on MC for a stretch of 14 days! That was my record. I remembered that time I was Charlie Company doing my re-course. That was long ago. This time round after so many years, I broke it again! I was on MC since last Tuesday. I was on medication ever since for my fever and my throat. It was one of the worst I ever had. Believe me, the feeling wasn’t that great. Suppose to be enjoying my weekend, I end up having staying in bed. And I just got back from the doctor, having the doctor to take a look at my bad throat. Fever part was alright, apart from some cold shivers, what was unbearable was my throat. It hurts every time I try to swallow something. Drinking water is something that dreads me most. I tell you the pain was so unbearable, that you can shed tears when you drink. I had to drink hot fluid instead of normal temperature. And I sometimes I choose to wash it down with carbonated drink, the type where you need to add salt to make it taste better.

I text Jenny yesterday, telling her how bad I felt. She’s in Meleka right now. She should be back by this evening. I will be on the phone with her. I miss her so much. We had about an hour or so during last Thursday. I met her for breakfast and accompany her to get some stuff for her mum. She told me to get a jab done so that I could sleep better at night. I told her I will provide the 24-hour clinic was not pack. I ask my sister to check it out for me, since she’s on her way back from shopping yesterday. I put that idea off, till this morning. Now I felt more better.

I guess, I would be good and ready to go back to work on Monday, kicking off with a meeting at half 10. Then I guess it will be a trip down to the bank for some payment.

Right now, I guess, I will be waiting for Jenny to come back (that will be about 8hours time from now), I really miss her . . . .
