Qing Ming Festival at Tse Tho Aum Buddhist Temple
As written in my past article on Qing Ming Festival, this is an annual festival that as Chinese we should not neglect, irregardless of our religions and beliefs. At least this is what I believe, as a Chinese, where I strongly believe in my roots of origin. I value Chinese customaries and traditions more than any. This day, if I recalled correctly it’s 1st of April, it’s a Sunday. Yeah, grand mum mentioned that we all had to go and pay respect to my grand daddy. Went to Tse Tho Aum Buddhist Temple, this is the final resting place of my grand daddy; I remembered how sad we all were, especially my mum. I recalled I was only in Primary 5 then when my grand daddy passed away. Wow. . .that’s 11 years! Hm . . .how about a few images here and some clips here for your review? Enjoy ya . . . .!
This is where all dead will say their last good bye to their love ones before entering the inferno
Notice the rows of photos of the deceased? These are awaiting their ‘Q’ to enter their ‘Condo’, a few minutes away. Their ashes are still in the other room, and usually the memorial services in the Chinese customs last for a 100days. In olden China, it lasted for 3 years!
