Our Affairs with Dian Xiao Er at Vivo . . .

Have lunch at Dian Xiao Er with J a while ago. Love the settings, but prefer it if we have time in the evening, as the restaurant overlooks the island of Sentosa. Should be lovely to look at when its nightfall.

We ordered fried rice with seafood in XO sauce, house special Xiao Er bean curd, and broccoli with braised scallops. Thought of going for their famous roast duck, but we are full. Too bad, but don’t care we will go there again and have it another time.

Actually wanted to try another restaurant called the white, red and pure, pardon me if I got the name wrong. Joey knows which one I’m talking about, we saw it yesterday.

And sigh . . . should have order the duck, because, UOB card holder will get to enjoy a 10% discount on a single bill of $50.00!

Joey, shall we try it on next Thursday after meeting Peter?

Entrance of Page One. . . (I feel in love with one retail shop front selling lingerie)
Vivo again, I need to make a trip down to lay my hand on a book on Toyo Ito’s Mediatheque. Been searching high and low for this book, as the rest of the publications on Toyo Ito’s work do not show much of the Mediatheque.

The shelves,  maybe one of these days, would do a critical design analysis on the spatial organisations of Page One

Therefore, I decided to make a trip down to Vivo Page One instead, knowing that there are only 2 copies on the shelves. Once sold out, I might need to wait for another month or even longer, as it’s not brought in by a local publisher. It’s an overseas publisher. It’s not worth the wait, so I told myself might as well grab one now.

Toyo Ito’s Sendai Mediatheque

Happy that I got it! The next thing on my mind now is; there isn’t much space left on my book shelf now. It’s all stacked up with books, journals, codes and regulations, files, reference books.

Need to find a way to keep all my books, and there are still quite a few in studio and I don’t have a clue how to pack them into my shelf now. . .
